About Erica

My passion for soy candles began when I was invited to attend a candle party at a friend’s house one Saturday afternoon in January 2008.

Little did I know that it would change my life completely. I was not really ‘into candles’ and just went along for a catch up with friends.

When I arrived at the party, I was the owner of just one candle that was stuck in the back of my bathroom cupboard and had been there for about 7 years!

During the party I learnt about candles made with soy and made one to take home with me. They were easy to make and smelt wonderful.

I was instantly hooked and I wanted to make soy candles for everyone!

I launched Hugs & Kisses Hand Poured Soy Candles by Erica in February 2008 and in 2011 re-branded as Erica Soy Candles.

I live in north Canberra (Gungahlin) with my two teenage children, Henry and Sophie and have a very full and crazy busy life.
